solutions IT WORKED FOR ME!
CRAYON CLEANUP
If my son accidentally writes
on the table with crayon when
we’re eating out at a restaurant,
I rub it with an antibacterial wipe
right away. The alcohol in the
wipe removes the marks from the
surface quickly and easily.

Roll Play
When our daughter outgrew spending
time in her play yard, we made it into
a ball pit. She loves playing with the
plastic balls, and we appreciate having
a safe place for her to be while we’re
cooking or talking on the phone.

FINAL STRAW
Whenever our toddler needs to take
medicine, we have her suck it up from
the measuring cup
with a straw to prevent
it from spilling all over.
It’s less messy, and she
likes being able to do
it all by herself.

GRACIOUS GIF TS
To teach my son manners when
he opens up presents, I placed
random home items like toilet
paper and toothbrushes into gift
bags; then we took turns opening
them. Every time we unwrapped
a “gift,” we said “thank you” and
added something that we liked
about it. Now I can always count
on him to be polite.

Handy
Hanky
I turned old burp cloths
into reusable hankies for
my son. I tuck a fresh one
into his pocket every day
so he remembers to wipe
his nose with a hanky
instead of his sleeve.

Binky Box
When it was time for my son to give up his beloved
pacifiers, we decorated a small wooden box to put
them in and delivered it to his pediatrician, who
passed them on to “new babies who need them.”

HAPPY
CAMPER
After only a
couple of days
into our family
camping trip, my
2-year-old son
was in desperate
need of a bath. We forgot to pack a
tub, so we heated up some water and
used the empty cooler instead.

State of the Art
We store all of my
daughter’s craft
supplies in an old CD
cubby so everything
is at her fingertips and
cleaning up is simple.
